Mishustin announced the continuation of pension indexation for working citizens

The Government will continue to index pensions for working citizens. This was announced on December 22 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a meeting with deputy prime ministers.

"The indexation of pensions for working citizens, which has been resumed since this year, will continue," he said.

Mishustin added that the government has also provided for a further increase in the level of pension provision for Russians.

Alexey Govyrin, a member of the State Duma Committee on Small and medium-sized enterprises, spoke on December 14 about plans for about 38 million Russian citizens to receive 7.6% higher pension payments in the coming year. He also noted that starting from January 1, 2026, old-age, disability and survivor insurance pensions will be indexed.
