In winter, the hair experiences severe stress. Temperature fluctuations and dry indoor air make them brittle, and friction against hats leads to electrification and loss of shine. On December 29, the manager of TROUVER hair care products, Li Shenhan, told about how to preserve the health and beauty of curls during this period. "Газете.Ru ".

"The key problem is the sudden temperature change. When the hair falls from -10 to +22, it experiences a sudden expansion and contraction of moisture in the shaft. Dry indoor air evaporates moisture from the cuticle. The hair becomes light, porous and accumulates a positive charge — hence the brittleness, loss of shine and the inevitable electrification," the expert explained.

He noted that an important point of winter care is to avoid overheating during drying. The hair gets double stress if it goes out into the cold immediately after the hot air. The first rule is to lower the drying temperature and use thermal protection. It is better to wash your hair with warm water, and at the end, rinse it with cool water — it "closes" the cuticle and gives shine.

"A gentle drying regime solves the problem on the surface, but it is important to maintain the hydrolipidic balance from the inside. Electrification is not just an aesthetic problem, but a sign of a violation of the moisture content," explained Shenhan.

He recommended using saturated masks and indelible serums with keratin or natural oils. They create a protective barrier, retain moisture and minimize damage from cold and friction with the cap. Hyaluronic acid, aloe, and betaine are useful in the composition — they help to retain moisture inside the hair.

"Synthetics accumulate a charge, and dry hair easily picks it up. The hair rises, pushes off from each other, and becomes unruly. The drier the hair, the stronger the charge remains," the expert noted.

Li Shenhang concluded that when the key points of care are under control, the hair stops fluffing, breaks less and retains its natural shine even in the coldest season.

Earlier, on December 26, Anastasia Razbezhkina, a dermatovenerologist and cosmetologist, told how to protect the skin in the cold. The expert explained that winter skin discomfort is a natural phenomenon associated with the heating season and temperature fluctuations. According to her, dryness at this time is felt not only on the skin of the face, but often in the eyes, so full—fledged hydration becomes a key element of care, both from the inside and outside.
