About nine people have died in a knife attack in Suriname.

Near the capital of Suriname, a man attacked people with a knife, killing at least nine people, including children. This was reported on December 28 by the Associated Press, citing the police.

"As a result of a knife attack near the capital of Suriname, Paramaribo, at least nine people were killed on Sunday, including five children," the article says.

According to the newspaper, the suspect, as a result of an argument with his ex-wife, attacked his own children with a knife, after which he committed the same actions with neighbors.
