Attack at the Gorki-2 school: there are dead and injured

On Tuesday, December 16, it became known about the attack of a teenager at a school in the village of Gorki-2 in the Moscow region. According to reports, he injured three people, one of them died. On December 16, in the morning, a teenager attacked a school in the village of Gorki-2 near Moscow. A student wounded several people with a knife. One of them died. Ksenia Mishonova, the Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Moscow Region, also wrote about this in her Telegram channel: "To our great sorrow, a fourth-grade student died at school."A security guard was also injured.

As the Investigative Committee later reported, the attacker turned out to be a 9th grade student at the school.

"The incident occurred at a secondary school in the village of Gorki-2. According to preliminary data, a high school student armed with a knife injured several people, the number is being clarified," the operational services told TASS.

It is reported that the students were evacuated, some left the building on their own. Law enforcement officers are already on site, as well as several ambulances.

According to TASS, the Youth House cultural and sports complex located next door, children without outerwear began to run there shortly after the attack on the school. There are now more than 100 students in the building, they have been given a place to stay, and water has been brought.

Ksenia Mishonova also wrote after the incident that support would be provided to children and adults.

The criminal case

The Investigative Committee has already opened a criminal case under Articles 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder"), Part 3 of Article 30, Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code ("Murder" and "Preparation for a crime and attempted crime"). Investigators are working at the scene.

The suspect, confirmed in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Moscow region, has been detained, he is being taken to the investigative authorities. In addition to the knife, he also had a gas canister. They added that police officers are now investigating the circumstances of the crime.

"Today at 9:00 a.m., the police received a report that a school student stabbed a security guard, sprayed a gas canister, and then stabbed a ten—year-old student, who died from his injury," the Moscow Interior Ministry said in a statement.

It is also reported that on behalf of the prosecutor of the Moscow Region, Sergei Zabaturin, the prosecutor's office will evaluate the actions of school officials to ensure compliance with the legislation on security activities.

After the incident, many videos from the school grounds began to appear on Telegram channels. Later, a 15-minute recording appeared at the disposal of RIA Novosti, filmed, previously, by the attacker himself. It shows a teenager assembling an IED-like device and then walking through the school. He then sprayed pepper spray in the face of a guard who tried to stop him and stabbed him. Then the teenager caught up with the child on the stairs and also attacked him.

Attack on a teacher in St. Petersburg on December 15

The day before, a teacher was attacked with a knife at school No. 191 in St. Petersburg. The woman was hospitalized. The incident occurred early in the morning — at 7:09 a.m., the police received a report of an emergency. The reason for the attack was a poor score. As it became known, the student agreed with the 29-year-old teacher to correct the test at seven in the morning, and when she turned away, he attacked her with a knife.

The student himself tried to commit suicide, but his actions were prevented by police officers, and he was also taken to the hospital.

The Investigative Committee opened a case under Part 3 of art. 30, part 1 of art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder").

Later it also became known that the school security did not inspect the boy at the entrance to the school, despite the activation of the metal detector.
