Earlier in the day, Zelensky said that before meeting with Trump, he had telephone conversations with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. According to him, they discussed preparations for the meeting with the American leader and all contacts with European leaders.

In turn, Trump posted on his page on the TruthSocial social network about a productive conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The American leader noted that Zelensky's talks will take place in the main dining room of the Mar-a-Lago residence.

Also on December 28, the Financial Times newspaper reported that Zelensky intends to convince the American leader at the talks to put pressure on Russia to resolve the Ukrainian conflict. In addition, the President of Ukraine also again called on European politicians to ensure stable financing of assistance to the Armed Forces.
