US President Donald Trump does not expect that the upcoming meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky will lead to serious results. This was reported on December 28 by The American Thinker magazine.
"Trump has already hinted that serious results should not be expected from Zelensky's return to the White House," the publication notes.
At the same time, the author of the material claims that the American leader nevertheless continues to provide Zelensky and a number of European politicians with the opportunity to speak publicly and demonstrate their position.
The publication also points out that the vision of the peace plan promoted by the Europeans, which, according to the author, is imposed on the head of the Kiev regime, is completely at odds with Russia's goals. Zelensky's attempts to present himself as a supporter of a peaceful settlement in the article are described as "another theatrical production" designed to convince the world community of his supposedly sincere desire for peace.
Trump and Zelensky will hold a meeting today, December 28, in Florida at 21:00 Moscow time.
On the same day, Zelensky announced that he had held telephone talks with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. According to him, they discussed preparations for the meeting with the American leader and all contacts with European leaders.
Also on December 28, the Financial Times newspaper reported that Zelensky intends to convince the American leader at the talks to put pressure on Russia to resolve the Ukrainian conflict.
