Forecasters predicted snow, sleet and up to +2 degrees in Moscow on December 22
Cloudy, light precipitation, moderate in places (snow, sleet), partly sticking sleet, ice, sometimes heavy ice — this weather awaits residents of the metropolitan region on Monday, December 22. The corresponding forecast is published on the website of the Hydrometeorological Center.
The air temperature in Moscow will range from 0 to +2 degrees during the day. At night, the thermometer will drop to -10.
In the Moscow region, it will be from -3 to +2 degrees during the day, with an evening drop to -8 degrees, and at night the temperature may drop to -12 degrees.
A northwesterly wind with a speed of 6-15 m/s is expected.
The atmospheric pressure will be 743-748 mmHg.
On December 19, Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, predicted "truly wintry" weather for the New Year. According to him, the first waves of cold weather will cover the capital and its region from Tuesday to Thursday— December 23-25. Snow may fall in this area on December 28 and 29. Shuvalov stressed that a reliable forecast is clear only for seven days.
