The Iranian ambassadors to Britain, Germany and France, members of the Eurotroika, were summoned to Tehran for consultations amid the rejection by the UN Security Council of a resolution on the Iranian nuclear issue. This was reported on September 27 by the ISNA news agency, citing the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

"Against the background of the illegal actions of the Eurotroika <... >, the Iranian ambassadors to Britain, Germany and France were summoned to Tehran for consultations," the Telegram channel said.

On September 26, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called on the UN Security Council chairman to declare the decision to impose sanctions against the Islamic State illegal.

The UN Security Council rejected a draft resolution on maintaining the lifting of sanctions against Iran on September 19. Sanctions against Iran will resume on September 27. At the same time, it was reported that the actions of the Eurotroika countries nullify the diplomatic settlement of the crisis over Iran's nuclear program. The Foreign Ministry noted that the country reserves the right to respond appropriately to any illegal actions, including an attempt to restore UN Security Council sanctions.
