- The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced talks with three European countries on the nuclear issue.
Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, said that the country had held talks with the leaders of Great Britain, France and Germany, where the lifting of sanctions and the nuclear issue were discussed. He wrote about this on July 25 on the social network X.
"Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi and I had a serious, frank and detailed conversation with the political leaders of three European countries. The latest developments related to the lifting of sanctions and the nuclear issue were discussed and analyzed," the statement said.
He noted that Iran has voiced its position on these issues. As a result of the negotiations, some understanding was reached and an intention was reached to continue consulting with European countries on the nuclear issue.
Earlier, on July 24, Gharibabadi said that Iran intends to resume nuclear negotiations with the United States on condition that the American side accepts the rights of the Islamic Republic under the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). It is noted that if Washington builds trusting relations with Tehran and guarantees that negotiations will not lead to a resumption of hostilities against Iran, the Islamic Republic is ready to return to dialogue on its own initiative.
