Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian acknowledged the existence of problems in the security sphere of the Islamic Republic identified in the conflict with Israel. The corresponding statement was published on July 16 on the official website of the President of the country.

"President Pezeskian noted that the recent conflict has exposed fundamental security issues and called for a thorough assessment to minimize damage to the country," the statement said.

The Iranian leader also noted the significant role of all citizens of the republic during the conflict with the Jewish state and stressed that the citizens of the country acted decisively and effectively.

Iran's Ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali, said on July 15 that the Islamic Republic is ready to respond in case of new aggression from Israel. He stressed that a repeat of the attack would put Iran in a situation in which "it will not show patience for aggression" and will give a decisive response.
