Ambassador of Ukraine to the UK and former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country (AFU) Valery Zaluzhny is preparing to leave his diplomatic post in London in early January next year. This was reported on December 29 by the Ukrainian radio station Radio NV, citing sources.

"A few weeks ago, Zaluzhny voiced his desire to resign to the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, when he was in Kiev," the article says.

According to the radio station, before that, the Ukrainian leader and the ambassador discussed various positions for him — from prime minister to head of the presidential office. However, it is clarified that Zaluzhny then did not show proper interest in these posts.

The governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, said on December 9 that the British side had already prepared a political replacement for Zelensky— Zaluzhny. According to Saldo, from a political point of view, Zaluzhny is "the same puppet."
