In Khabarovsk, two traffic police cars collided while chasing a drunk Toyota Prius driver. This was announced on December 29 by the press service of the Khabarovsk Territory State Traffic Inspectorate.
According to the agency, traffic police officers noticed a Toyota Prius car, the driver of which ignored the legal requirement to stop and tried to escape. Additional crews were involved in the pursuit. During the chase, two official vehicles collided.
"As a result of a traffic accident, official vehicles received mechanical damage. The police officers were examined on the spot by an ambulance team," the Telegram channel says.
It is noted that the pursued car was detained in the area of Amur Boulevard, driven by a 35-year-old man intoxicated.
On December 27, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Dagestan reported that an accident involving seven cars occurred on the federal highway Kavkaz in the republic. As a result of the incident, three people were injured. According to preliminary data, the accident occurred due to icy conditions and drivers' failure to maintain a safe distance.
