Samara Ministry of Health explained Orlov's words about calling an ambulance
The Ministry of Health of the Samara region on Sunday, December 28, said that the words of the head of the department, Andrei Orlov, about calling an ambulance at a high temperature were misinterpreted.
"An ambulance is an emergency service that prioritizes emergency calls, such as severe pain, heart attack, stroke, seizures, bleeding, life—threatening conditions, various injuries, and road accidents," the Ministry of Health emphasized.
They added that the temperature rise is one of the urgent challenges for which special teams at polyclinics are working in the region.
"From eight in the morning until eight in the evening, they go to patients with fever and signs of acute respiratory viral infections, acute respiratory infections and influenza at home. Ambulance crews arrive for emergency calls within two hours," the regional Ministry of Health clarified in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Earlier, on December 26, it was reported that internist Nadezhda Chernyshova warned about the severe course of the Hong Kong flu, which is accompanied by a sharp rise in temperature to 39-40 degrees, fever, severe weakness, headache and muscle pain. The specialist noted that the disease often leads to loss of working capacity and can be accompanied by coughing, sore throat and nosebleeds.
