President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko was knocked down during a hockey match. The meeting between the Belarusian leader's team and the Brest region team took place on December 28 and ended with a score of 5:5.

The footage shows that the player of the president's team at number 68, Yaroslav Chupris, a former member of the Belarusian national hockey team, brushed against Lukashenko with his back, and he fell. At the same time, Chupris immediately helped the President of Belarus to stand up .

The match took place at the Olympic Arena in Minsk. Defenders Viktor Vusik and Sergey Ploskov scored goals for the Brest Region team, as well as forwards Alexander Burmistronok, Alexander Korotkevich and Nikolai Mironchik.

In 2021, Lukashenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin played hockey after negotiations. The match was held at the ice palace of the Manege Youth Sports School in Strelna. Hockey masters, mostly ex—champions, were also invited to take part in the game. Putin and Lukashenko played against the Reds in the "white" team. The Whites won with a score of 18:7, the Russian leader scored seven goals, and the President of Belarus scored two.
