In the qualification, the athlete showed a result of 2 minutes 56.27 seconds and took 34th place. According to the newspaper Sport-Express, Nepryaeva was 0.85 seconds short of Frenchwoman Margot Tirlo, who became 30th.

The best time in the qualifying race was demonstrated by the representative of Sweden Johanna Hagstrom — 2 minutes 47.58 seconds.

The men's sprint qualification will take place on Sunday, December 28, as part of the Tour de Ski. Russian skier Savely Korostelev will take part in it, the start is scheduled for 14:27 Moscow time.
