The message to Russian President Vladimir Putin about life "as in the 19th century" came not from the city of Ulyanovsk, but from the village of Ulyanovsk in the Leningrad region. This was reported in the press service of the Ulyanovsk city administration.

"Just an hour ago, one of the authors of the message called the reception of the head of Ulyanovsk, Alexander Boldakin. She said that the appeal was from residents of the village of Ulyanovsk in the Leningrad region, but there was a typo," the source told TASS.

According to him, the villagers wanted to report problems with the power outage. However, now the authors of the appeal are worried that their issue will remain unresolved due to the mistake, the source added.
