In France, former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Svyatoslav Piskun was detained after searches. This was reported on December 17 by the Ukrainian newspaper Strana.ua" with reference to the Ukrainian Rapid Reaction Group (GBR).

"This happened after searches conducted by French law enforcement officers at the request of the GBR, and as a result of the searches, law enforcement officers received grounds to detain the ex-Prosecutor General," the Telegram channel said.

The official reason for the searches was not disclosed. Investigators suggest that Piskun could have received a bribe in order to close the 2003 case of the murder of a lawyer, who, according to investigators, could have been ordered by Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky (listed in the Russian Federation as a terrorist and extremist).

The Ukrainska Pravda (UP) newspaper reported on September 20 that a Ukrainian official had fled to Turkey after being charged in a case involving the purchase of elite vegetable slicers for bomb shelters. According to the publication, in 2023, Olga Drozdova, an official of the Dnipro regional State Administration of Kiev, was informed of suspicion of embezzlement of 300 thousand hryvnias (about 600 thousand rubles) from the budget for shelter construction.
