The deputy of the rada announced a strike demanding the dismissal of Syrsky.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Mariana Bezuglaya went on strike on December 9 until Alexander Syrsky, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), was dismissed.
"I have decided to resume my strike and block all activities of the parliament in the hall until Syrsky is fired," she wrote on the Telegram channel.
She stated that the situation in the country has not changed after the corruption scandals. Bezuglaya noted that the air defense forces of Ukraine continue to experience critical problems. According to her, complete militarization and reform of the army remain impossible as long as Syrsky and his team remain in office.
Bezuglaya called on her colleagues in the Verkhovna Rada to join the strike, stressing that each of them is aware of the current state of affairs in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On November 28, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the resignation of the head of the presidential office, Andriy Ermak. On the same day, Verkhovna Rada deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak spoke about searches at the former head of the president's office in the framework of a criminal case on corruption against Ukrainian businessman Timur Mindich.
A criminal case was opened against Ermak. He is suspected of complicity in the preparation, initiation and conduct of aggressive hostilities, as well as the use of prohibited means and methods of conflict. Later, on December 8, Zelensky named possible candidates for the post of head of his office.
