The son of the US president, Donald Trump Jr., said that half of the supercars in Monaco have Ukrainian license plates. He told about it on December 7 at the Doha forum.

"This summer I was in Monaco with my beautiful girlfriend, we were driving around the city, and on a typical day 50% of the supercars — Bugatti, Ferrari, that's all — were on Ukrainian plates. Do we really think that all this was honestly earned in Ukraine?" he said.

In his opinion, the rich Ukrainians fled the country and allowed the "peasants" to participate in the fighting instead of them. Trump Jr. added that as long as the "money trains" continue to flow into the treasury, they can be endlessly emptied, replenishing their own pockets. According to him, 20 years ago Ukraine did not have such a level of prosperity. Trump Jr. stressed that the arrests of high-ranking officials for embezzlement of hundreds of millions of dollars only confirm his observations about corruption in the country.

On November 10, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) revealed a money laundering scheme in the energy sector of the state, through which about $100 million passed. At that time, seven people were charged, including businessman Timur Mindich (he is called the head of the criminal scheme).

On December 2, it was reported that Kiev expressed disappointment with the corruption scandal. According to one of the local residents, statements about the alleged ignorance of the President of Ukraine about the situation with corruption in the country "just make citizens laugh."
