ATOR questioned the possibility of canceling the all-inclusive format in Turkey
The cancellation of the all-inclusive format popular with tourists in Turkey is not expected. This was announced on November 30 by Maya Lomidze, Executive Director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).
"No," she replied to the relevant question.
Lomidze noted that discussions around the cancellation of "all inclusive" arise annually, but real changes do not occur. According to her, such conversations have been going on for about 10 years, but during this time only two or three five–star hotels have switched to a la carte service, which has not had a noticeable impact on either the Turkish tourist market or the preferences of Russian travelers.
The Executive Director of ATOR stressed that one should not attach much importance to repeated statements on this topic, since so far there are no specific decisions or actions on the part of Turkish accommodation facilities that would indicate an intention to abandon the all-inclusive format.
Earlier, on November 26, Lomidze reported that the demand of Russian tourists for foreign trips during the New Year period showed record growth, increasing by an average of 60% compared to last year. As the representative of ATOR noted, various tour operators record an increase in demand from 30% up to 70%.
