Currently, India continues to purchase Russian oil. This was announced to journalists on November 10 by Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko.

"I can say that India continues to buy Russian oil," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

In addition, answering a question from journalists about a possible increase in oil discounts for China and India, Rudenko noted that he did not have such information.

On November 6, US President Donald Trump announced that India had allegedly significantly reduced its purchases of Russian oil, practically ceasing to purchase it. Trump also stressed that the negotiations between Washington and New Delhi are going well.

On October 28, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, answering questions from journalists during a briefing, said that oil from the Russian Federation is of strategic importance for many countries. Moscow, he explained, offers a product, and its buyers will have to make a choice about how attractive it is and how much other alternatives offered can compete with it.
