The total volume of construction work in Russia has increased by 33% over the past six years, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin reported to the head of state. According to him, in order to fulfill the goals of the national project "Infrastructure for Life", it will be necessary to renovate housing, build and repair street roads, upgrade public transport and build many landscaping facilities. One of the largest construction projects in Russia, of course, is being conducted in new territories — in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions. 82 regions of the Russian Federation, 41 federal agencies, as well as 26 state-owned companies are involved in the restoration of local facilities. Vladimir Putin separately noted the selfless efforts of the builders.
"Despite the difficult situation, housing, production facilities, transport and communal infrastructure are being built and repaired here," the president stressed.

In 2026-2030, it is planned to restore almost 13 thousand capital construction facilities in the new regions, the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation told Izvestia. They recalled that by 2030, new regions should reach the average Russian level of quality of life and socio-economic development.
— The whole country participates in the restoration of facilities in the reunified regions of the Russian Federation. In total, since 2022, more than 23 thousand capital construction facilities (ACS) have been restored, 11,149 of them by regional bosses. For the period 2026-2030, it is planned to restore another 12,915 ACS," the ministry said.
Back in 2022, about 30 thousand builders were missing. By 2025, the problem of staff shortages had been solved: a large number of construction companies had been involved in the work, Sergei Pakhomov, deputy and chairman of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Services, told Izvestia.

The condition of the water supply remains a serious problem in the new regions, and especially in Donetsk. At a meeting with Vladimir Putin on August 4, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said that due to network wear, water losses in some places reach 60%. In this regard, the authorities are reducing the schedule of water supply to the local population. "Water is a systemic problem. The whole city lives in a water schedule. It's given once a week, for a few hours, and that's how everyone lives," says Anna Revyakina.
