Putin instructed the head of Stavropol to deal with the problem of repairing schools

The budget of the Stavropol Territory has doubled in the last five years. This became known on July 28 at a meeting between Vladimir Putin and the governor of the region, Vladimir Vladimirovich. The regional authorities are working on import substitution in the field of agriculture, and Stavropol remains one of the leaders in genotyping highly productive cow breeds. However, the head of state drew the governor's attention to the problems in the social sphere: the shortage of personnel, the state of schools and kindergartens.

What was discussed at the meeting

Vladimir Vladimirov told Vladimir Putin about the support of the participants of the special military operation in the region. According to him, cash payments have already been increased for them. The head of the region clarified that military personnel today are entitled to free additional education. The governor also told the head of state about the re-equipped rehabilitation center.

The regional budget has almost doubled in the last five years. Stavropol is developing import substitution in terms of planting beets, corn and sunflower seeds. Moreover, the region has become one of the leaders in terms of genotyping highly productive cow breeds. But the Stavropol Territory needs federal support because of the high interest rate. It has had a particular impact on the social sphere — construction has dropped significantly, and apartment prices are rising because of this. "I started working when the price of an apartment [was] 19 thousand [rubles] per square meter, today it is 130 thousand, up to 600 thousand in the city center, apartments in the Stavropol Territory [reach]. These are incredible numbers," Vladimir Vladimirov shared.

Vladimir Putin asked about the situation in the social sphere. According to the governor, there is a severe shortage of personnel in the region. Availability of doctors is 83%, secondary medical staff is 78%, and ambulance staff is 57%. To resolve the situation, the authorities promised to introduce additional payments. For example, they will be doubled for drivers. "We have decided to start making additional payments to the district police officers today. Today, staffing levels in the FSIN are heavy — we also pay 10,000 extra people. With Rosgvardiya about extra-departmental security payments from the regional budget. We have been holding 5,000 each for two years, but now we need to increase it, because they also have a large shortage," the head of the region explained.

Another problem that Vladimir Putin drew attention to was the overhaul of schools and kindergartens. There are about 650 schools in the region and only 30% have been repaired so far. However, the governor promised to fulfill the order 100% by 2030. In addition, two schools for 1.5 thousand people will be built in Pyatigorsk and Stavropol. So far, only four kindergartens have been repaired. "Deal with this in a substantive and planned manner," Vladimir Putin concluded.
