It is necessary to refrain from escalating tensions in the Middle East and engage in dialogue with Iran. This was stated on December 30 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, commenting on US statements about Israel's support in the conflict with the Islamic Republic.

"We will, of course, continue our contacts with all parties. We believe that it is necessary to refrain from any steps to escalate tensions in the region, and we believe that first of all it is necessary to conduct a dialogue with Iran," Peskov said.
