UAV operators destroyed UAF hexacopters in Gulyai-Pole area
Operators of attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Vostok group of forces have identified and destroyed hexacopters and controls of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) near the village of Gulyai-Pole. This was announced on December 30 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
According to the ministry, heavy hexacopters of the Baba Yaga type, as well as antennas and control points used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces for coordination, were destroyed during the operation.
"Our tasks are to defeat and identify, first of all, enemy UAV sites. We control all means of their provision, transportation, rotation. <...> Experienced operators know the weaknesses of the equipment," said the platoon commander of the UAV with the call sign Bilbo.
On December 29, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that the Russian Armed Forces had captured Ukrainian militants, whom the command had sent to Kupyansk to conduct staged photo and video filming in order to create the appearance of the presence of Ukrainian units in the city. According to the ministry, one of the prisoners, Valery Sokolenko, said that he was sent as part of one of six sabotage groups.
