In 2025, Russian President Vladimir Putin held 17 contacts with foreign representatives, 10 of them with American leader Donald Trump. This was announced on December 29 by Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.

"In the past year <...> our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin held 17 contacts with American representatives. This includes a visit to Alaska, 10 telephone conversations with Donald Trump, and six meetings with his special envoys," he said.
