A man who ate tangerines in a closed store was detained in the Moscow region.
Rosgvardiya in the Moscow region detained a man who entered a closed supermarket, where he ate tangerines and wanted to steal a grocery set. This was announced on December 29 in the press service of the main directorate of the Russian Guard for the Moscow region.
The crime occurred on Lenin Street in Orekhovo-Zuyevo. The Russian Guards found that an unknown person entered the store by squeezing the entrance doors in the loading area.
While inside, the attacker began to consume tangerines and wash them down with alcohol, while simultaneously collecting food in a bag: a can of coffee, a bottle of vodka, beer and chips.
Employees of the non-departmental security detained the attacker before he managed to leave the crime scene. He turned out to be a 39-year-old native of Naro-Fominsk, who, as it turned out, had previously been convicted of theft.
Earlier, on December 26, Police Colonel Alexander Romanenko, head of the department of non-departmental security of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Rosgvardiya in Moscow, said that during the New Year holidays, crimes related to alcohol or drug intoxication most often occur. He clarified that thefts can be either accidental or planned, for example, when a car or apartment is under preliminary surveillance.
