The range of BAW 212 SUVs will expand in Russia

In 2026, Russia plans to expand the BAW 212 family of SUVs in the Russian market. This was reported on December 29 by Rossiyskaya Gazeta with reference to the press service of the Chinese manufacturer.

So, in the first half of the year, a pickup truck based on the BAW 212 T01 is due to debut in the Russian Federation, the dimensions of the model are 5469×1955×1970 mm. At the same time, the Changfeng Diesel version with a diesel engine and a ZF automatic transmission is expected to be launched, while the engine is planned to be deforged to 159 hp.

In addition, a model in the new Gaodi off-road configuration may go on sale in Russia in the first half of the year. The list of equipment includes, among other things, an expedition trunk, additional protection for bumpers and thresholds, and a new hood.

A compact version of the 212 T01 is expected to enter the market in the second half of the year. It has only three doors, and the wheelbase is 2,570 mm.

Earlier, on December 26, it was reported that sales of a new modification of the Evolute i-Space hybrid crossover will begin in Russia in the first quarter of 2026. It differs from the version already available on the market by the presence of a second electric motor and an all-wheel drive system.
