A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The Zapad group of troops has completed the liberation of the village of Dibrova in the DPR. In addition, two attacks by Ukrainian armed formations in the areas of the settlements of Palamarevka and Blagodatovka were repelled in the Kupyansk direction in order to break into Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region. As a result of the actions of Russian servicemen, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost more than 210 militants, five armored combat vehicles, 21 pickup trucks and five ammunition depots.

"The units of the Center group of forces have improved their position along the front line. They defeated the manpower and equipment of two mechanized, jaeger, airmobile, two amphibious assault brigades, two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two marine brigades, two air defense brigades and a National Guard brigade in areas of settlements <...> in the Dnipropetrovsk region, <...> Donetsk People's Republic. The enemy's losses amounted to more than 495 military personnel," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, defeated temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 153 districts. In turn, air defense systems shot down two operational-tactical Thunder missiles and 140 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 669 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 105,805 UAVs, 641 anti-aircraft missile systems, 26,775 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,634 multiple rocket launchers, 32,240 field artillery and mortars, and 50,291 special vehicles.
