Three Turkish policemen were killed and eight were injured in a clash with the militants of the Islamic State (IS, recognized as an extremist organization in Russia). This was announced on December 29 by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
"At 02:00 tonight, during the anti-terrorist operation in Yalova, ISIS militants started shooting at our police officers. Unfortunately, three of our policemen were killed and eight policemen and one security guard were injured as a result of the despicable attack. Five women and a child were successfully evacuated from the house. Six militants have been eliminated, they are Turkish citizens," Fidan said.
