Putin signed the law on age confirmation through MAX

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law allowing the purchase of tobacco, alcohol or energy drinks to confirm the age using a digital ID in the MAX messenger. The relevant document was published on December 29 on the official Internet portal of legal information.

The new document amends a number of laws. Now you can confirm your age using MAX when buying alcohol, energy drinks, and information products; when selling dangerous gas-containing household goods; when participating in lotteries and attending entertainment events.
