VKKS allowed to open a case against retired judge Grishin
The Higher Qualification Board of Judges (HCCC) has agreed to initiate criminal proceedings against Dmitry Grishin, a retired judge of the Moscow City Court, who was responsible for an accident in which two people were injured. This was reported on December 29 by a correspondent of Izvestia.
Grishin himself did not appear at the VKKS, but sent a document that he asked to be reviewed in his absence.
On December 10, Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF), sent a submission to the VKKS to obtain consent to initiate criminal proceedings against Judge Grishin.
It is specified that Grishin was driving his car at a speed of 100 km/h, despite the 90 km/h limit. While overtaking and violating the rules, he drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Renault RS car.
