A fighter of the Russian Armed Forces told about the death of more than 10 civilians from the Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes on Dimitrov.

In Dimitrov, during an attempt to retreat, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) destroyed a multi-storey building, which killed more than 10 people. This was announced on December 29 by Samir Hashimov, an attack aircraft of the 1435th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 27th Guards Motorized Rifle Division of the Center group of forces.

"There were quite a few stories when they (APU. During the withdrawal, they simply worked in houses where civilians were hiding. They worked with drones and artillery purposefully. <...> Because of such strikes, more than 10 people died, well, in my presence, that is, what I saw," he said in an interview with TASS.

According to Hashimov, the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants heavily destroyed the city during their withdrawal. In the hope of finding survivors, Russian soldiers were clearing the rubble, he added.

Soldiers of the 5th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade named after A.V. Zakharchenko of the 51st Guards Combined Arms Army of the Center group of forces earlier that day told about the details of the operation to liberate the settlement of Dimitrov in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). Private Andrey Khotenkov, a machine gunner of the brigade, noted that the support of artillery and commanders made it possible to gain a foothold in the village and successfully complete the operation.
