In Dagestan, a local official wrote a letter of resignation after a debauch that his son arranged in one of the outlets of the Kumtorkalinsky district of the republic. This was announced on December 29 by the head of the region Sergey Melikov in the Telegram channel.

"While thousands of Dagestanis shed blood for their Homeland, receive Orders of Courage and stars of Heroes, glorify their parents and the entire republic, individual young people become Internet "stars" by staging drunken brawls. <...> It is all the more egregious that the son of the People's deputy turned out to be a participant in the shameful incident! I adhere to the iron—clad principle that a father is responsible for the upbringing of his children, and therefore such people have no place in power. Now the former official has written a letter of resignation," he wrote.
