A fire in an apartment on the first floor of a five-story apartment building occurred in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, as a result of which four people died. This was reported on December 29 in the official Telegram channel of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Kamchatka Territory.
Three departments of the third fire and rescue unit were sent to the scene of the fire - a total of 12 people and three pieces of equipment.
"At 11:00 [02:00 Moscow time], the fire was completely eliminated, the preliminary fire area was about 10 square meters," the department said.
During the reconnaissance, firefighters found four unconscious people in the apartment — two children and two adult men.
"Before the arrival of the ambulance crew, firefighters carried out resuscitation measures, then the people were handed over to the paramedics. Unfortunately, they could not be saved," the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
