Three residents of the Sverdlovsk region were accused of preparing a terrorist attack.

Three residents of Verkhny Dubrovo, Sverdlovsk region, Artyom, Alexey and Tatiana Nazarova, were arrested and charged with preparing a terrorist attack. This was reported on December 28 by RIA Novosti with reference to the file of the regional court.

It is clarified that criminal cases have been opened against the relatives under part 1 of Article 30, paragraph "a" of part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Preparation for a terrorist act"). They face up to 18 years in prison.

They were arrested by the Verkh-Isetsky District Court. The details of the charges are unknown. It is reported that the criminals appealed the arrest, but their complaints were not satisfied.

Earlier this week, on December 26, a resident of the Chelyabinsk region was detained for high treason. According to the FSB, in 2024 he carried out money transfers in favor of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. A criminal case has been opened under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason"), which provides for punishment up to life imprisonment.
