A patient at a mental hospital near Volgograd killed an orderly and escaped

A patient of a psychiatric hospital in the Volgograd region attacked an orderly with a knife, after which he disappeared with another patient. This was reported to Izvestia on December 28 by the press service of the Regional Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.

According to the investigation, the incident occurred in the Kalachevsky district. The attacker inflicted fatal stab wounds on the nurse, from which the man died on the spot, then the attacker left the facility along with another patient.

It is specified that the fugitives were detained. A criminal case has been opened into the incident under the article "Murder".

The Investigative Committee called the activities of the Ukrainian special services one of the versions of the crime.

On December 23, a 37-year-old man stabbed his wife to death while intoxicated during a conflict in Kazan. It was clarified that their child, born in 2022, was also in the apartment, who suffered a brain injury and was hospitalized.
