Passenger train traffic on the Rostov-on-Don section has been fully restored along two tracks after the freight locomotive derailed. This was announced on December 28 by the press service of the North Caucasus Railway (NCRR).

"The movement of passenger trains on the Kiziterinka – Protochny section in Rostov-on-Don, partially disrupted as a result of the derailment of a freight train locomotive, has been fully restored and is being carried out on two tracks," the carrier's Telegram channel wrote.

It is specified that 160 people and 5 units of special equipment were involved in the restoration of the message. At the moment, 33 trains are lagging behind their schedule, including six suburban trains. The Russian Railways added that passengers on flights that are delayed for more than four hours will be provided with food.

On the same day, the Russian Railways reported that about 20 long-distance trains were delayed in Rostov-on-Don after the derailment of a freight train locomotive, and there were no casualties. The Russian Railways noted that the railway workers are taking all necessary measures to reduce the delay time of trains, and also apologized to passengers for the inconvenience.
