About 2 thousand citizens of South Ossetia are taking part in a special military operation. This was announced on December 28 by Alan Dzhioev, Deputy Prime Minister of South Ossetia.

"The number of citizens participating in the CBO is very significant for the small population of South Ossetia. It is about 2 thousand people. This is a big figure for us, because Ossetians are a small people," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
