About 20 long-distance trains were delayed in Rostov-on-Don after the derailment of a freight train locomotive, there were no casualties. This was announced on December 28 by the North Caucasian Railway (NCRR), which is a branch of Russian Railways.
"Today at 03:35 on the Kiziterinka – Protochny section in Rostov-on-Don, a freight train locomotive derailed. There are no casualties. Train traffic is organized along the neighboring track," wrote the Telegram channel of the Russian Railways.
It is specified that as a result of the incident, 20 long-distance trains and five suburban trains are running late. The Russian Railways noted that the railway workers are taking all necessary measures to reduce the delay time of trains, and also apologized to passengers for the inconvenience.
On September 14, the governor of the Leningrad Region, Alexander Drozdenko, announced that a diesel locomotive with 15 empty tanks had derailed in the region. It was clarified that due to the incident, train traffic was canceled on two sections, and 10 suburban trains were also delayed.
