The Dome of Donbass system prevented 229 attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in a week.

The Donbass Dome electronic warfare system prevented 229 terrorist attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in a week. This was announced on Sunday, December 28, by the press service of the Russian FSB directorate for the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

172 drones were eliminated over the cities of Donetsk and Makeyevka. 57 drones were intercepted over Gorlovka. It is noted that the enemy continues to use the tactics of combined raids on civilians of the DPR.

Two FP-2 attack UAVs stand out among the destroyed targets. They tried to attack the Starobeshevskaya thermal power Plant (TPP), which is of critical importance for the region. The drones were equipped with high-explosive fragmentation warheads OFB-90-YAU with additional damaging elements.

"An electrical distribution substation in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk was targeted by militants. The electronic warfare system intercepted a Ukrainian R15 drone armed with an OFBCH-5 high-explosive fragmentation warhead," the FSB noted.

In addition, increased activity of reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) was recorded on the northern outskirts of Donetsk and Horlivka.

Earlier, on December 21, it was reported that the Dome of Donbass prevented 252 terrorist attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a week. 167 drones aimed at Donetsk and Makeyevka and 85 drones operating in the Gorlovka area were eliminated. The FSB added that the enemy also tried to attack important infrastructure facilities, including an electrical substation in Ilovaysk.
