New road signs will appear in Russia from January 1.
Starting from January 1, 2026, new road signs will be introduced in Russia, including the sign "Recommended speed when driving through artificial bumps." This was announced on December 28 on the Rosstandart website.
The new sign informs drivers about the recommended speed when passing speed bumps and will reduce the number of signs on the road by half. This will help make driving safer and reduce the visual burden on drivers.
In addition, "Deaf" signs have been introduced in front of pedestrian crossings for hard-of-hearing citizens and "Wet, snowy (icy) pavement", which will be used in conjunction with speed limits in adverse weather conditions.
Earlier, on December 15, the Ministry of Transport, Rosavtodor and the Ministry of Internal Affairs prepared a package of amendments to the rules of the road, including the priority of electronic signs, mandatory distance for trucks and new accident accounting methods. These measures will allow for a more accurate analysis of accident situations by region and specific routes, as well as improve traffic management and highway safety.
