Servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation surprised a large number of manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and launched a preemptive strike against the enemy, which took him by surprise. This was reported on December 28 in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

It is noted that during the reconnaissance, senior Sergeant Vladislav Bolotov, along with his group in the forest belt, heard the negotiations of the enemy forces and decided to follow them in order to identify the enemy's plan.

"Coming closer, the group found a large concentration of enemy manpower and a heavy cannon. Senior Sergeant Bolotov decided to stay in place and observe the enemy's actions," the department said.

The soldiers conducted reconnaissance until late at night, after which Bolotov ordered his comrades to retreat from the area, and he returned to the command post and reported everything to the command. As a result, a preemptive strike was launched against the Ukrainian Armed Forces cluster, and the enemy was caught off guard.
