Tu-214 with Russian systems received approval for a design change

Obtaining approval to change the design of the Russian Tu-214 aircraft has opened up the possibility for the deployment of its full-scale production. This was announced on December 27 by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov.

"Obtaining this certificate opens the way to full-scale serial production of Tu-214 aircraft. With the support of our department, the enterprise has passed the stage of large—scale modernization and technical re-equipment," he is quoted as saying on the Rostec State Corporation website
