The Chinese government has tightened the rules for the use of human-like artificial intelligence (AI) systems, requiring suppliers to ensure the ethics, safety and transparency of their services. This was reported by Bloomberg on December 27.

The State Chancellery of Internet Information of the People's Republic of China has published new rules according to which users should be informed that they are using humanoid AI.

Reliable security and ethical control mechanisms should also be implemented in such AI systems, while being guided by the "basic socialist values" of the country, the article says.

It clarifies that the creators of AI models must conduct a security assessment and submit a report to provincial administrations if they launch new artificial intelligence functions.

Earlier, on December 8, the Financial Times newspaper reported that Chinese smartphone manufacturers have begun actively promoting AI features in their products in competition with Apple. According to analysts, Chinese manufacturers are actively beating Apple, which is trying to get permission to operate its neural network in China, but so far without success. According to experts, Apple's AI tools available in other countries are significantly inferior to the capabilities of Chinese neural networks.
