The Russian government has extended the ban on the export of gasoline, diesel and other fuels until the end of February 2026. The relevant documents were published on the government's official website on December 27.
"The new decree extended the temporary ban on the export of motor gasoline outside the country until February 28, 2026, inclusive. It will be valid for all exporters, including direct producers," the website says.
At the same time, the ban will not apply to manufacturers of diesel, marine fuel and other gas oils. It is noted that the restrictions will come into force from the day following the day of the official publication of the resolutions.
Earlier it was reported on December 15 about the intentions of the Russian government to extend the ban on gasoline exports until the end of February 2026. The ban on gasoline exports for all market participants was in effect until the end of 2025. Currently, diesel exports are allowed only for refineries.
