The dam on the Chita River began to be cleared of shrubs

In Chita, shrubs began to be cut down on the dam on the left bank of the river of the same name. Work is underway from Evgeny Gayusan Street to Bogomyagkov Street, according to the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Trans-Baikal Territory.

Cutting is carried out in autumn and winter, when the plant trunks become brittle, and the frozen soil allows you to carefully perform the procedure.

To date, 84% of the work has been completed, and it is expected to be completed by December 31, 2025. Such measures help to strengthen the slopes of the dam and help prevent the destruction of structures.

According to the ChitaMedia news agency, there are 10 dams under the jurisdiction of the regional environmental center: in Chita, Chita Priargunsky, Nerchinsk-Zavodsky, Uletovsky and other districts.

Earlier it was reported that a new version of the Red Book of Animals was released in Transbaikalia. The work on the book was carried out for five years.
