A court in the Moscow region arrested three car dealers

A court in the Moscow region arrested three men in the case of organizing a car arrest. This was announced on Friday, December 26, by the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.

According to preliminary data, in November, residents of the Moscow region, acting as part of an organized group, staged an accident and, under the pretext of resolving the consequences, stole 30 thousand rubles from the victim. During the operational search activities on December 23, the suspects were detained.

The supervisory authority clarified that all three were charged under the article on fraud committed by an organized group, and work is underway to identify and detain other possible accomplices.

The attackers speculate on insurance and fines for traffic violations.

Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry, Irina Volk, reported that, according to preliminary data, the detainees may be involved in a series of similar crimes. According to her, the attackers acted according to a pre—planned scheme: they chose sparsely populated sections of roads and single elderly drivers in used cars as victims, after which they staged accidents and demanded money — sometimes up to 100 thousand rubles, the Moscow city news agency reports.
