A child in Moscow almost got poisoned after taking a sip of lemonade with the name "Aloe Vera", bought by his father at a grocery store. This was announced on December 26 by a source of Izvestia.

The incident occurred the day before. Denis Sobolev, the father of the injured boy, told Izvestia that the drink caused a severe burning sensation in the child's mouth immediately after consumption. He noted that the liquid in the bottle had an unpleasant chemical odor similar to acetone. Now, a day later, everything is fine with the victim.

"The child was under observation for a day, they immediately drank a lot of water. Well, he just swallowed a little bit [of lemonade], a drop. He says his mouth started to burn badly, like acid. Well, it's not exactly acetone, it's unclear what," the man commented.

The boy's father added that he had already received comments in his personal messages about other cases of poisoning with the same drink. Izvestia asked the press service of the Magnit store, where this lemonade was sold, for comment. They replied that they had found signs of damage on the batch released on August 11.

"Right now, we are withdrawing all products from this supplier, including Aloe Vera, from sale, and we are blocking the sale of this item at the cash desks in all Magnit stores in order to completely eliminate the possibility of its purchase. These products will disappear from the shelves within a few hours," the retailer assured.

In the near future, the store promised to send the products to a laboratory for testing and submit samples for analysis for compliance with all necessary requirements and quality standards. Magnit noted that it is in close contact with the supplier of the goods to clarify all the circumstances, and also plans to conduct an urgent unscheduled inspection and production audit.

Prior to that, on December 22, a source from Izvestia reported that two adults and one teenager had been poisoned with carbonara pasta ordered from a delivery service in Lyubertsy, Moscow region. The minor victim is 15 years old. Doctors confirmed all three had symptoms of acute gastroenteritis after eating the dish. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
