The Baiterek complex in Kazakhstan will be launched in the first quarter of 2026
The first test launch of the Russian-Kazakh project of the Baiterek missile system is planned in the first quarter of 2026. This was announced on December 26 by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of Kazakhstan Jaslan Madiyev.
"Active preparations are underway, and the launch vehicle is already on the territory of Kazakhstan. We expect that the first test launch will take place in the first quarter of next year," TASS quoted him as saying.
According to Madiev, preparations are also underway for the Bayterek launch pad at Baikonur. It is there that the launch of launch vehicles between the medium and heavy class will be carried out.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that Roscosmos noted that the implementation of the Baiterek joint project is at the final stage. Autonomous tests are currently being conducted at the assembly and testing complex, after which the rocket will be delivered to the launch complex for final checks.
